Eleanor Curtis was a particularly botanically inclined member of the Folly Cove Designers. She had a rather renowned garden from what I can tell, and drew much of her inspiration from there. I am particularly fond of a tablecloth print of hers called Narcissus, but Micah is another favorite of mine  among all of the group’s work (you can see them both here on my Folly Cove Pinterest board).

The Curtis Skirt is my little homage to Ms Eleanor, with the border of apple blossoms, and takes its form from the Folly Cove Designer’s propensity for skirts made out of their printed textiles. Worked up in the Aran weight 100% cotton of Classic Elite’s Mesa yarn, it’s a quick knit, and practically seasonless.

Today, the Curtis Skirt is the prize over in the comments section of The Nutmeg Knitter blog. Click on over, say hi, and maybe win a free copy of the pattern.
