Bartók Tunic

As seen in Interweave Knits

Béla Bartók was a 20th century Hungarian composer dedicated to incorporating folk melodies into his modern music. Like Bartók, I too am interested in the traditions out of which my craft has grown and often find myself drawn to motifs with deep roots. The Bartók Tunic is decorated with birds, flowers, and hearts that are inspired by embroidery designs I find in common between many Eastern European fine needlework traditions, but here knit using a chunky yarn in contemporary colors with a modern fit.
