After several runs at how to stripe the sleeves, I’ve settled on this design as that perfect midpoint between “adorable” and “macho”.
I was at my knit group last night, and we were all talking about the range of terrific knit shop suggestions in the comments for my last post. RoseAnne’s shop is already set to go into a small space in Amesbury because of the paucity of affordable retail spaces, so room to swing will not one of the shops’ virtues, at least until she makes a fortune and moves into one of the Mill buildings (because we all know shop owners living the high life, right?). But she has some really creative ideas about how to manage that. She owns the lovely Morrill Place Inn here in town, and plans to run most of her programs there, as well as be able to put up guest knitters for the weekend, thereby managing the part of the expense of having Candace Eisner Strick and her like hanging around.
So a hearty thank you from RoseAnne to everyone who has made known their wish list for the perfect shop so far. If you want to weigh in on the topic and haven’t yet, and would like to be entered into a drawing for a couple of skeins of Lorna’s Laces Shepherd Sock, read my previous post and leave a comment there.
