You would spin too if this fiber happened to you . . .
One Grafton Fibers corriedale batt, Navajo plied and ready for, what? This is my first venture into Navajo plying, and I’m really proud of it. I went to a charity auction Saturday night and while I decided to leave my knitting at home, I did honestly consider for a moment taking this ball with me to show to every one. But I did have the presence of mind to remember that the world at large does not exactly share my enthusiasm for what you can do with the stuff you cut off of sheep, so I will quiet the inner voice that urges me to pull this out of my purse to show the family behind me in line at the supermarket. Thank the stars I have you to tell things like this to.
It looks like ketchup and mustard mixed together on a hamburger bun, doesn’t it?
I’ve four ounces of this little guy, at DK weight. I think that’s enough for one sock. Maybe I could knit just the one, and never have to worry about losing the other. It was the Twisted Sister’s Sock Book that got me interested in spinning in the first place. Maybe I’ll use this yarn to start a Twisted Sister’s stash for one of those incredible socks of many colours. It’s funny how a little thing like this can make me so excited that I can’t sleep and have to post it to the blog at 4:30 in the morning.
