I finished the crown for the Boy’s Frog Prince costume, knit out of Berroco Plush and Crystal Effects with some Brown Sheep Lamb’s Pride just for some protein content, but the darned thing turned out about half the boy’s head size! Day before yesterday, the booties were too big, now the crown is too small. I feel like Goldilocks caught in the Bear’s House. So in honour of bears everywhere, I crowned my childhood pal Aloysius with my prototype, and determined to try again.

Hello! I’m joining the clapotis-along, and I’m about half done! Yea —

Too cute!
It’s a wonderfully cute design.
Well, the bear looks happy…
I’m enjoying your blog, having found it through Kate Gilbert’s blog (she’s actually thinking of moving to Montréal in the middle of winter, which is what I did last year, from Boston, to boot…hooboy, talk about inspiration for knitting your own underwear…)
My six year old wanted your dino hat, but I think she’s going to want the prince hat more. She’d turn it into the “Queen of Everything” hat.
Big booties, small hat…have you been reading Lewis Carroll lately? 😉
Good luck with the re-do. You could always pin the little one to his hair.
I love the crown! It is awesome! Too bad about the sizing issues. I just made baby socks from Debbie Bliss Baby Knits for Beginners book (2 needle socks) in 3 mos size & I swear they look like they would fit a toddler!
How cute is that hat! I love it.
Love it! Please don’t forget to post the pattern when you have time. You’ll be able to post it in two sizes, now! One baby and one toddler. Great for those who like to dress their children alike or kids who like to dress to match their bears.
