Guess what I've been up to. Go on.
Oh damn; you peeked. Yes, it's there in the photo. A sweater.
Actually, it's a sweater I designed and knit for myself about a year and a half ago. I always get compliments on it, but I never really got up the courage to write it down for the people who asked for it (because you know it takes courage to do that, or at least it does for me). Now I have.
With the capable technical help of Alison Green Will, and the photographic talents of Caro Benna Sheridan, I'll be making the pattern available on Ravelry soon, but even before that, the pattern will be at the Spirit Trail Fiberworks booth at Maryland Sheep and Wool this weekend, along with a sample knit by Kelly Rota in Spirit Trail's gorgeous new yarn, Lyra. As much as I liked my original knit in Ultra Alpaca, I was blown away by the softness and drape of Kelly's version, since Lyra is not only hand-dyed in Jennifer's gorgeous colors, but also the yarn is an Alpaca/Merino/Silk blend which I could pet all day. You know how that is.
And by the way, the sweater is called "Mork", because the cable reminds me of the hand positions of Nanu Nanu. I'm dating myself, but you know how that is too.
