So this hasn’t been the most impressive of years as far as my design output goes. In balance, I’ve been working hard at polishing my rusty teaching chops and traveling to some really special events. Pomfest was just one amazing weekend. There have been a spectacular additional few since then.
In October, I had four wonderful classrooms of the smartest knitters you could ever imagine at Knit East in St Andrews, New Brunswick in October. It was a sort of homecoming for me since I grew up an hour north of there (yes, I have Canadian roots), and even had in one of my classes a knitter who had purchased our Saint John house from my parents after I went off to college.
And to top it all off, I had the entire Quechee Inn full of yoga-loving knitters to myself just a few weeks ago in Vermont where I made them do things they never imagined they could do! (insert maniacal laugh here). We had a great day on the road too, visiting both Green Mountain Spinnery and Harrisville Yarns.
Lisa puts together a terrific weekend, and she’s adding an event to her annual menu: a weekend at Haystack Mountain School of Craft in Deer Isle, Maine. I’m really looking forward to that and many other chances to meet knitters and share with them what I love in the coming year. Check my events page where I am better at keeping track than I am at updating the blog.
