Some fun news: a photo of my design for the spring issue of PomPom Quarterly was selected for the cover!

The cardigan is called Tambourine, and uses some gorgeous Fiberstory Core DK. It was a happy coincidence when I was swatching with baubles and their design call for the spring issue asked for Marimekko-inspired patterns.

It has a vintage feel to it, but the three stitch baubles give it a modern twist. I think it’s breezy and fun to wear over a spring dress when the day turns a little cool mid afternoon. I plan to knit one myself in the future, although I’ll probably add a little length and hip shaping at the hem ribbing. More pattern details are posted on Ravelry.

Meanwhile, I’ve updated so much here on the website. The front page now features some photographs from the From Folly Cove book, and all of those patterns are now included in the menu.

There’s some new events scheduled, including some weekends coming up in April at Sheep’s Clothing in Valparaiso, Indiana and Mosaic Yarn Studio in Mount Prospect, Illinois. If you’re local to either one of those shops, be sure to check out the details by clicking on the news and events tab above.

I’m getting a number of things organized as the year unfolds. Here on the blog in the next week or so, I’ll be sharing some especially impressive books that I’ve been enjoying in the last month, and some knitting I’ve been doing for myself. So check back in, I’ll be here!
