Last week, Alpaca Kathy sent out the call for a day of spinning with her lovely animals.  It was World Wide Spin-in-Public Day, after all.  I don't know if spinning in a field is exactly "public", but strangers did peek in on us all day, curious about what the "OPEN" flag planted out by the road might mean.

Chris came all the way up from Connecticut, Kathy had bags of Alpaca for sale, stash was swapped, and Lucia brought gorgeous apple crisp to share.

There were these critters about the place too.

The weather was perfect, husbands were present, and we even had a few new spinners join in the fun.

Among my spin friends there are a lovely assortment of wheels you might not see every day. A Bosworth Journey Wheel,

a Watson Elly,

and a Magnus Drudik (note the flyer can be moved according to the spinner's whim).

A glorious day, humorous company, and I even got a little spinning done.
