I’m just popping into the blog to report that the normal ebbs and flows of life are happening at a frantic pace chez Clay. I’m working on five deadlines that all landed on July 24, and trying to figure out what lies beyond that particular event horizon. I have a lot of personal shuffling as well as I prepare the youngest for a new school in September, move the middle child off to Austin, Texas for her first post college year, and rearrange my own metaphorical furniture.

There are so many tantalizing possibilities, I cannot predict where I’ll be even six months from now, professionally and personally. Were I superstitious, I would be checking my horoscope.

So it’s one foot in front of the other, knitwise, until the 24th. Not much is on the publishing horizon until fall, but I am preparing for a trip to the Shetland Islands in a few weeks. You know I’ll have something to say about that!

Hope your summer is bright, warm, and friendly. See you in a bit.
