It's been a few weeks since my last post, and I don't have much to show for myself since mostly what I've been doing is drifting aimlessly from one unfinished project to another. Usually at this point in the winter, I have a few super warm sweaters to show for my time in hibernation, but not so much this year. Perhaps the relentless ice and snow has chilled its way into my motivation, or maybe it's the several rippings back I had to make on the sweater I was knitting.
I have been spinning. I'm making this yarn:
It's a self-striping two-ply, about worsted weight, from Hello Yarn's Seasick colorway. I showed off the singles in a past post, and this is the plied version, about 300 yards so far, about 2/3 of the way through the fiber. It doesn't account for most of the time that has gone by, but it does prove my head is still in the game.
I haven't a hat to show for Jorge yet since I left a message asking for his head measurement. Maybe that wasn't the most normal of questions to ask a producer.
