I have a child at school in London this semester, taking his year away in the same neighborhood (different school) that I did when I was his age.  I am thinking I can justify a few days' visit before his semester is over, to take the boy out for some awesome Indian food at Chutney Mary and to see something (anything) at the Barbican or the Donmar Warehouse.

And get in a little shopping.  First stop: Herdy. What's Herdy?  I'm not really sure, but I think they're kind of like the Life is Good shops and logowear you find sprinkled about the States.  I personally loathe the Life is Good shop in my own town because it sits in a space that used to be occupied by a decent and locally-owned business that actually sold stuff I could use, whereas LiG is mostly aimed at the impulse buy/tourist crowd and I already have enough t-shirts.  Perhaps Herdy is the same sort of shop, but when I am in the UK, I will indeed be a member of their target demographic. And a knitter.  So I am a sitting duck for things like these:
